Social English Workshop on Zoom, Hong Kong
FUN SOCIAL ENGLISH CLASSES on ZOOM Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School 屯門天主教中學
Dates: May 4, 8, 11, and 13
A group of twelve F2 and F3 students signed
up for a Social English workshop on Zoom to
improve their spoken English.
The highlight was a 15-minute conversation with
a guest who was a native English speaker.
The students' feedback:
"The most helpful and challenging part was
talking with the guests."
"The workshop offered us an excellent platform
to speak with native English speakers."
The bonus was a field trip to the Harbourfront on May 13th. The students rode on the HK Observation Wheel and enjoyed a panoramic view of the harbour and saw a different perspective of the surrounding buildings. They also had a delicious lunch of pizza and pasta, and visited M+ for the first time.

Bowling Trial Program
12 girls of Pope Paul VI College participated
They excitedly tried bowling for the first time. Keith Mark, a HK Bowling Team member, was their coach for four sessions from June 1 to July 6, 2023. It was a fun experience for them, and a few wanted to continue playing when school starts in the Fall.

10 students participated in an after school cooking activity and created yummy nougat on a lovely Tuesday afternoon. The girls met new friends and soon engaged in lively conversation.

Exciting visit to HK DisneyLand
In the academic year 2023/2024, we supported more than 45 students in our program, including emergency relief funds, daily hardship subsidies, special tutorial lessons, best improvement awards, cooking, bowling, and face-painting workshops in the six participating local schools, and a finale free visit to Disneyland on July 12, 2024.

The Dream Came True!
The Lindalva Center building project that serves vulnerable children and youth in the factory slump was completed. The center was officially opened on August 22, 2023.
There are four classrooms, a computer room for youth, and a rooftop playground, which will soon be filled with happy, exciting children.
